You can get afterschool programs at low to no cost!

TW accepts Child Care Services (CCS) payments for the 2024-2025 school year for 1st-5th graders at Brook Avenue and J.H. Hines, and students 13 years old and younger at G.W. Carver Middle.

You must register for CCS for cost-savings. Scholarships are available if your family only partially qualifies or does not qualify for CCS.

Please follow the five steps below to complete the registration process. You can skip to step 2 if you’ve already registered for CCS.

  • After submitting your application, you will receive an email from Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas.

    Please forward that email confirmation to the appropriate afterschool site coordinator:

  • A Texas Workforce caseworker will contact you within a few weeks to continue the CCS process.

STEP 4: submit required documents for ccs

The caseworker will guide you through submitting the required documents listed below.

STEP 5: select school

Once all the documents are submitted and approved, you can select the Transformation Waco campus of choice from a list of contracted CCS Providers. In your CCS account, search for:

Brook Avenue Elementary ASA — 1792337

J.H. Hines Elementary ASA — 1792397

G.W. Carver ASA — 1792373

  • The weekly cost of afterschool is $140, HOWEVER, we will provide scholarships and accept Child Care Services (CCS) payments so our program will remain low to no cost for your family.

    You must register for CCS for cost-savings. Scholarships are available if your family only partially qualifies or does not qualify for CCS.

  • AfterSchool Academies will run Monday through Friday.

    Elementary schools: 3:15-5:30 p.m.

    Middle school: 4:30-6:45 p.m.

  • First-fifth graders at Brook Avenue and J.H. Hines, and students 13 years old and younger at G.W. Carver. The Greater Waco YMCA will run the afterschool program at Alta Vista Elementary.

  • You may have to wait for CCS approval past the start of afterschool in August. In this case, you can qualify for TW scholarships and your students can still attend our afterschool program. Our afterschool site coordinators will help you with that process.
