transforming Lives honorees

In December 2021, TW launched the “Transforming Lives Honorees” program to recognize the transformational impact of our staff on ensuring a positive present and future for students, families and coworkers! Staff and the community nominated these genuine agents of change. Thirteen honorees were surprised at work by their nominator and coworkers and each received a $1,000 grant for school-based passion projects.

The program continued in the 2022-2023 school year with 16 honorees. Examples of projects included a kayak and paddleboard trip along the Brazos, a suite of Apple products for music education, a Topgolf trip for student ambassadors and STEM and insect-growing kits. Honorees were also celebrated at an end-of-school-year banquet.
