The AfterSchool Academies are free after school programs for students at Alta Vista Elementary, Brook Avenue Elementary, J.H. Hines Elementary, and G.W. Carver Indian Spring Middle School. Programs include a wide variety of enrichment topics. Past topics include drumming, dancing, history, traveling, puzzles, sports skills, gardening, leadership, art, STEM, and many more!
We partner with the YMCA of Greater Waco to operate the Y Afterschool program at Alta Vista. Students participate in various special interest activities and have dedicated time for homework and reading.
Through AfterSchool Academies, Transformation Waco students and community members form lasting relationships and gain exposure to new ideas that benefit everyone involved.
